'Twas the Night Before Preschool Starts

'Twas the Night Before Preschool Starts - Tonight we prepared Jordyn for school tomorrow. She decided that she wanted a new skirt out of red Hawaiian fabric to match her school spirit t-shirt that she got on Friday. So of course, we ran out to Wal-Mart and let her pick out the fabric. I, of course, got the job of figuring out a pattern that I could make in under 1 hour; which I did. I am not happy with the way the waistband worked out but I will re-do it after she gets home from school in the morning. The next thing that had to happen is to do the activity that the teacher sent home for tonight. This is the instructions that we got from Mrs. Neuman her teacher at Navy Hale Keiki School. The night before your first day of school, I would like you to have your mom and dad read the poem below to you and follow the directions. I will be doing it too and remember...I can't wait to see you!

Jitter Glitter
When you're feeling nervous and in your tummy there is a jitter,
Think of your new teachers and sprinkle on some glitter,
You will find a brand new feeling when you are done,
And then you are ready for a year of exciting learning that is fun!
Mom or Dad might need some glitter...for they're nervous too!
I have a secret between me and you,
Your teachers at this moment are sprinkling jitter glitter too!
Now we are all sparkling and ready for the year to begin.
This glitter is filled with love from your teachers....
Your new friend!

While dad read the poem and passed out the glitter, mom video taped (to see the video visit mom's blog). This is all for today. This is posted a day late!
